Bob and I arrived in Boulder city, NV on Friday, June 26. We are staying at a nice park. We have full hookups, wi-fi, and cable. The weather has been extremely hot...113 degrees today. We stayed in the AC in the motor home!
Tomorrow we will head to Zion National Park in Utah.
Talked with several family members back home and everything seems to be fine.
As always we appreciate our family and friends and miss them very much.

"I'm Not A Crook" and Newport Beach
Bob and I visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, Ca. It was very interesting. Nixon's boyhood home is on the property. Actually, the library is on the original home site of the President's parents. Mr. Nixon's father built the family's home. The President and Mrs. Nixon are buried on the library grounds. Pat Nixon's rose garden is beautiful.
After leaving the Nixon library, we drove to Newport Beach and walked out on the pier and enjoyed the scenery. A wonderful day!
As always, we miss our family and friends and appreciate them very much.

The Golden State
Bob and I arrived in Chino, California on Wednesday, June 10th. We are staying at a regional park and it is quite nice. It reminds us of West City Park but with camping. Our site is paved and we have full hook ups and great tv reception. No internet or cable though. Today we are at a public library to get caught up on the blog and other internet stuff.
Yesterday we did meet up with my friend Barb and her husband, Hugh. We had a great time getting caught up on all the latest news. They are doing great. They live about 10 miles from where we are staying. their home is beautiful. Barb fixed a wonderful dinner for us. And afterwards, we talked and laughed and laughed, and laughed. It is always so special to be with friends.
As far as we know, everyone at home is doing ok. We will make phone calls later to confirm.
Will close for now. The weather has been rather gloomy here in fact they call it "June Gloom". But despite that, we are still having fun!
As always, we miss our family and firends and appreciate them very much.

On Down The Road
Bob and I are in Banning, CA, staying at a KOA. We will leave tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10, and head to Chino, CA. The weather has been great. Temperatures in the mid 70's.
We will stay at a regional park just outside of Los Angeles. We will visit with a friend of mine and her husband. I haven't seen her in about 15 years. We also hope to visit Catalina Island.
I don't think we will have internet available there, so I will update as soon as I can.
As always, we miss our family and friends and appreciate them very much.

God Paints A Mighty Purdy Picture!
Wow! Please, make it a priority to see the Grand Canyon at least once in your lifetime. The pictures in our album do not do it justice. No words can describe the unique beauty of it.You have to see it to believe and appreciate it. This was our second visit and we want to go back again. We stayed in the campground located in the park and rode the shuttle buses provided by the park service.
Our campsite was very nice and the weather was great. The park was not very crowded. We made a point to see the canyon at various times of the day. Bob also walked one of the trails.
As you can tell, the Grand Canyon is one of our favorite stops in the most beautiful country in the world!
As always, we appreciate our family and friends and appreciate them very much.

Page, AZ
We stopped in Page, AZ just to rest up and continue on our way to the Grand Canyon. While at Page, it rained quite a bit. We really didn't see much while there. But I did get some pretty pictures on our way out. Check them out.
As always, we appreciate our family and friends and miss them very much.

Able To Stand In Four States At Once
Bob and I stopped in Four Corners, New Mexico. It is a protected area overseen by the Native American Tribes. There is a $3.00 vehicle charge to enter the area. There is a beautiful plaque that commerates the four corners area. The states of New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah all border here. If you heard, it was recently reported that the location is about 2 1/2 miles off course, but they have decided to leave everything as is.
As always, we miss our family and friends and appreciate them very much.
